One of the most important thing when you make a cake is its shape – to achieve the right shape for the particular occasion you should select the right cake pan, here are some useful tips that will help you to select the right cake pan.

Now there are many different cake pan shapes at the market, to narrow your choice the first thing you should do is to determine the main shape of your cake – round cake, square cake or in the shape of a cartoon character (If you want to prepare a cake for your kid’s birthday).

Plain square or circle cake pan is not the best choice for kids party or a baby shower, so if you are making a cake for a similar occasion better choice is to select cake pan with unusual shape.

Almost all wedding cakes are made using only a square of circle cake pan – and the secret here is DECORATING. If you are good at decorating you can use circle pan and make a masterpiece.

If you are not so good at decorating or don’t have the time to do it – choose cake pan with unusual form – as I said earlier at the market there are HUGE variety of different cake pans for the different occasions.

IMPORTANT: The most important rule to follow when baking a cake with extravagant shape is to grease the pan well, so the shape comes out perfectly.

For conclusion I’ll say that choosing the right cake pan will help you to impress your guest without any work like difficult decorating and adding different shapes to your cake.
